The Kimama restaurant located in La Spezia has an area of 600 square meters. The space is divided into three well-defined areas, on the basis of which we designed a lighting system that was functional to the various and different needs. The huge longitudinal platform at the entrance connects the restaurant with the bar area, where guests can see the architectural details of the ceiling illuminated by the lights that remind the Cinque Terre, a beautiful natural setting just a few kilometers away from La Spezia. The use of 20-watt LED lights (I-LED) here emits a blue light, giving the impression of a suspended water mirror, at the same time highlighting a rhythmic appearance. LED luminaires embedded in the ceiling were arranged for good visual comfort. Being the space dedicated to different options, we chose to optimize the main light for a dinner scenario, designed to create a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere; while for the breakfast and lunch area the choice of the light source seemed to be more appropriate with a color temperature of 3,000K to 4,000K.
